InnoVisions is a social enterprise through which the Neighborhood House Association (NHA) offers leadership, staff, and organization development services to nonprofit, educational, municipal, and for-profit organizations. Funds raised through InnoVisions go to support NHA’s mission and community/social service programs.

Dr. Sheryl Gee, Founder

Dr. Sheryl Gee, a cultural psychologist and organization development consultant with over 25 years of experience, leads the day-to-day operations and service delivery component of InnoVisions. She also serves in the position of Vice President of Training and Organization Development at the Neighborhood House Association (NHA).

Dr. Gee started her post college career as a preschool teacher and assistant site supervisor at Barksdale Air Force Base Preschool. She worked as an external rehabilitation consultant with Crawford and Company, state rehabilitation counselor with Nebraska Department of Education, and internal rehabilitation counselor with the City of San Diego.

Dr. Gee also led and managed a start-up company for Liberty Mutual (Cascade Rehabilitation Services) and leverages knowledge gained from that experience as she works with organizations and leaders around the globe. She has served as an internal and external organization development consultant in both the public and private sectors working with: 1) local, state, and federal government agencies such as the City of San Diego, Texas Workforce Partnership, United States District Court, and the District of Columbia; 2) Fortune 500 companies such as QUALCOMM, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, Ford Motor Company, and Sempra Energy; 3) educational institutions such as Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), San Diego Community College District, and River Valley Charter School; and 4) nonprofit organizations such as Volunteers of America, National Medical Association, Father Joe Villages, and Sickle Cell Association of America.

Dr. Gee has designed and facilitated the implementation and institutionalization of over 100 change efforts. She possesses very honed skills in leadership development, strategic planning, performance management, conflict resolution, culture change initiatives, diversity/inclusion, and team building. Through her experience she has acquired a working repertoire of effective practices and approaches to consider in addressing leadership, performance, and other human process related challenges.

Dr. Gee is an expert at helping leaders develop self-awareness and self-regulating abilities, interpersonal skills, and cultural competencies necessary to successfully influence and lead others. Since 1999, she has served as a Feedback and Leader/Executive Coach with the Center for Creative Leadership (CCL); a core adjunct professor at National University; and regularly serves as a guest lecturer at other colleges and universities. She also serves as a consultant with the Alliance for Children and Families’ Executive Consultant Select Group.

Dr. Gee holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Grambling State University, a master’s degree in counseling from Louisiana Tech University, and a master’s and Doctor of Psychology degree in culture and human behavior from Alliant International University. She is a qualified/trained mediator and provider of several organization, team, and individual assessment instruments.

Dr. Gee serves on the San Diego Delta Foundation Board; is an advisory board member for the Institute on Violence, Abuse, and Trauma at Alliant International University; and is a life member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and Grambling State University Alumni Association. She is passionate about helping people work better, and better together.
